Thingamajig: The Secret life of Objects.

Until May 9th 2010, the Freemasons of Munster have some 15 objects of masonic interest on display in the University College Cork Glucksman Gallery, as part of the exhibition Thingamajig: The Secret life of Objects.
For more detail see their web site which reads:

Thingamajig: the secret life of objects is an exhibition of curiousities and oddities drawn from local, private and public collections. The objects and documentary material selected for the show tell stories of local character and personal ingenuity, as well as revealing the broader social and political history of Cork. Thingamajig also explores the process of collecting itself. Why collect? What is worth keeping? How do we identify ourselves through the objects we collect around us? Rather than presenting a narrative history of major events and famous faces, this exhibition celebrates the often overlooked and commonplace things that constitute our everyday relationships to material culture.
